When
packing fragile items, clearly
mark "fragile" on the outside of
each box, with arrows on the
sides indicating the correct
upright position.
Essentials: Indicate
boxes with essential items, such
as linens or toiletries that
need to be opened first by
labeling them, "open first".
This will ensure that these
boxes are packed and transported
accordingly. |

Single Items |
|
Tapes &
CD’s: Stack items on end
so they can absorb shock with
less chance of damage. Pack
tightly to ensure security.
Portable
Appliances, Computers, Etc:
If possible, pack these items in
their original boxes. Otherwise,
remove all loose/moving parts
and cushion with soft packing
paper.
Lamp
Shades: Handle shades
only by the wire frames and
place them in large boxes. Do
not pack multiple shades unless
they are individually wrapped in
delicate & clean tissue paper.
Figurines,
Statuary, Etc: Use bubble
wrap to secure in place. For
extra protection/security use
generous amounts of crumpled
(clean) paper in between bubble
wrapped items.
Glass
Containers: Use bubble
wrap to secure in place and to
prevent breakage. If bubble wrap
is not available, use delicate
tissue paper. |
